Land use land cover

Ecolo-GIS remote sensing techniques enables rapid classification of satellite and aerial orthophotos over large areas to create Land Use Land Cover maps. The techniques genraly uses supervised image classification methods  to create shape-files represnting different land use polygons.

This project was conducted as a demonstration project for Agriconsulting LTD, in Italy. The project aim was to delinate broad different land use categories using a 4 band orthophoto of the area of interest.

Land use classes delineated included: Water, Forest, Cultivated fields, Buildings, Roads and Shadows.
