Ecology

Client:  Ministry of Environmental Protection, Israel
The projects included reviewing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports for construction projects, and submitting recommendations for acceptance / decline of proposed projects.

Projects reviewed:
  • Transportation with regard to railways and roads
  • Construction of new neighborhoods
  • Establishment of ecological corridors and wildlife crossings
  • Examination of alternative energy project; especially wind turbines
Client: Nature and Park Authority (NPA), Israel  
The project included reviewing and providing management plans for nature reserves and national parks.

The projects presented below include data collected from habitats and ecosystems.  The data was combined with remote sensing and GIS covers to analyze habitats and ecosystems.

The forestry projects presented here increased the efficiency of forest inventory surveys and forest monitoring. Forest canopy cover was analyzed using remote sensing tools.
