Mapping temperature for Vineyards

posted Aug 23, 2015, 5:05 AM by Arik Rosenfeld

Ecolo-GIS Delivered spatial analysis of temperature distribution in the Judean foothills region of Israel ("Shfela") to Teperberg winery. Maximal and Minimal temperature grids of 100 X 100 meters resolution were calculated from meteorological stations data distributed in the area. Temperature grids were calculated using spatial regression in ARCGIS.  Adj. R2 reached 0.92. Using these maps the winery agronomist Mr. Udi Gliksman could plan and improve irrigation in the vineyards in the region.
